Management Commitment to GGL 

Commitment by the Management

Prima Khatulistiwa Sinergi (“PKS” or “We”) is committed to procuring products and services that ensure that materials are sourced from legal and well-managed sources that have been certified to credible certification standards. Through this declaration top-level management is showing its commitments to ensure all requirements from the following standards and related normative documents are met:

Green Gold Label Certification Standard (GGL)

  • GGLS1 Chain of Custody criteria      
  • GGLS4 Transaction Certificate

Transparency

We are committed to provide transparency to all customer and shall provide relevant access to information regarding the GGL claim to all customer as required and necessary.

Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to procuring products that have been certified against an internationally recognized standard that is in line with GGL requirements for the responsible sourcing of biomass.

Social Responsibility

We are committed to avoiding engaging in or benefitting from controversial business practices, such as, but not limited to:

  • • Any form of forced labour, including bonded labour, forced prison labour, slavery, or human trafficking.
  • • The use of child labour. The minimum age for employment shall not be less than the age of completion of compulsory schooling and, in any case, shall not be less than 15 years.
  • • Discrimination based on race, ethnic, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinions, caste, national or social origin, property, birth, union affiliation, sexual orientation, health status, family responsibilities, age, and disability or other distinguishing characteristics.
  • • Unsafe or unhealthy working environments, including, but not limited to, the risk from fire, noise, accidents and toxic substances. Adequate health and safety policies and procedures must be established and followed by all companies in our supply chains.
  • • Any form of bribery and corruption.

Health and Safety

We are committed to ensuring that all necessary health and safety measures are taken. Through these measures, we provide a safe and healthy environment for our staff to operate and work in.

Quality Management

We will ensure that all relevant staff is trained and competent in carrying out their responsibilities as identified in the relevant GGL manuals. All necessary resources are made available to support the standards and certification requirements including carrying out annual internal audits. The annual audits will be reviewed by management and proposed follow-up will be supported.

Legality

We are committed to sourcing only material that has been produced, processed, and traded in compliance with applicable legislation in the country where the material originates from. We also refer to the legislation and regulations relating to the use of biomass as feedstock for the production of electricity and/or heat in Japan, stipulated by the relevant and responsible Japanese authorities.
